carmen tin says:

I agree yuna should have won

Hyeyeon Brown says:

If the olympics had been held in a different country other than Russia,
would the result have been the same? It is a simple question and we all
know the answer.- there definitely was home advantage! No one can deny it.

Yuna deserve the gold. The judgement is wrong and corrupted. Its shame.

shiverpunt says:

That’s the problem with having art sports in the Olympics. All the scores
are subjective. Even if there had been no Russian or Korean judges anywhere
near the building, the others are still going to have some bias, different
perspective of what counts as a perfect landing and whatever the fuck else
they look at. There’s no way around it so as DF2 says, tough shit. Sucks
for her, but you can’t take it personal. It’s the nature of the beast for
figure skating and gymnastics. And she isn’t the first. Every country in
this event has felt the same sting and there is no way around it. It’s art
more than sport. competitive, but still art.

Stop poisoning your souls and others with sulfuric words. Be objective and
respectful with your criticism to Adelina, yuna, and others. Adelina is an
incredible athlete! I love Yuna, but I have to admitting that Adelina
performance in both, short and free program was more difficult than Kim
Yuna.

Что за пидарас вместо закрытия игр? что происходит?

Jennifer Cheng says:

Many people are only casual fans of figure skating. They do not understand
that there are two components that makes up the overall score. First is the
Technical Elements which are the jumps, second is the Presentation which is
the artistry. Each jumps have a base value. Skaters can gain extra points
if they make the entry of the jumps harder or when exiting a jump. They
also get a points for Grade of Execution (GOE) – how well they execute the
jumps/skills.

Many people argue that Adelina has done 7 triples as oppose to Yuna 6
triples. The basic concept is easy 7>6. Well there is more to that number.
Adelina indeed performed a more TECHNICAL program, but she made visible
mistakes. From the slow motion pictures I see online, Adelina landed short
of rotation on her combination jump – double axel + triple toe loop. And
she also fumble on her landing of a double loop combination. These mistakes
should be deductions off the jumps base value. But we don’t see the
deductions reflected on her scores. The technical score makes up only half
the total score. Her presentation score should not be close to Yuna. Her
artistry is at best in the same group with Ashley Wagner and Gracie Gold.
It maybe subjective when it comes to artistry, but when you watch a video
of them skating side by side, many people with no figure skating knowledge
will see that Yuna’s artistry on ice is second to none.

So in conclusion, I agree that Adelina skated her best with visible
mistakes. I do not agree that her overall skating skills and overall
performance is better than Yuna’s. Especially when Adelina scores is so
close (4 points difference) to Yuna’s world record score at the 2010
Olympics. I encourage people to watch Yuna’s 2010 Olympic FS and compare to
Adelina’s FS.

Whilst the number of jumps is not to decide the gold medal.
Such claims do not understand is that figure skating.

wsewse23 says:

Allan// well, she made mistake, and kim finished her performance without
mistake. I’m really wondering how russian skater didn’t have any minus in
her point.

J Allan says:

i don’t know if she got robbed, because we are not judges but Yuna wins the
artistry but the russian girl wins the technicality, so its a tough choice
and a close one, anyone can win it but technicality wins this time..

Sk L says:

Queen yuna did her best despiteof her bad health and foot injuries.I know
her effort and heavy shoulder. That’s why i always cry over her
performance. Her last program makes me sad… But there still her gala
remains :)
